One of our subscribers asked, "What are some tells you’ve experienced that show that a client is uncomfortable with (but not voicing their objection to) the range you’ve quoted?" This is our answer.
Wow, thank you guys so much for answering this!! I listened to it in my car like a mini podcast. Makes me so excited to be here and for future videos! Loved everything you said - especially around how we’re in control of the pricing and can make adjustments as we see fit on a case by case basis - no discounts, but adjustments to scope up or down to fit the client’s needs better. I have a budget “qualifier” line in my inquiry response auto email that gives a range between “four or five figures” - typically we do best in the range between $5-$25k - but I don’t want to anchor someone to a low number if they are actually in need of services at a higher scope! I’ve found that works well - loooove that you guys do an inquiry follow up email with inquiries that seem low budget to double check pricing. I had a disco call today where someone wanted branding and web for sub $3k today and that’s not the best fit for my studio - I referred her out but would have preferred to not have even gotten on the call! That’s rare but still does happen!
Anyways that was a lot. LOVED this and I’m so happy you’re doing this! The design world needs this info!
